Mamas, Postpartum is just a chapter of your life, BUT can I please give you huge props to what you went through during this chapter because it is ALSO is an ending of a large life cycle for you. Who you were before pregnancy, birth & Mamahood is NOT who you are now. You have evolved & the transformation took an immense amount of mental & physical energy that we are rarely prepared for. THIS is one of the reasons why you felt this new overwhelm of being pulled in multiple directions & feeling a lack in time for yourself.
You may have thought you would bounce back into exercise, lose the belly weight easily because you were breastfeeding & be that energized Mama that you see on social media. And now it’s 4 years (maybe more) later and you’re like, “what gives”?!
Let me not only validate how you feel but also shout it from the rooftops, “YOU had little to no support as to WHAT do to to rehab post birth & your workouts, nutrition & new stressors depleted you. And that’s OK…and sadly normal.”
Here is what you need:
Nutrition Tip: Choose 90% whole foods; increase your protein to 1g/lbs of body weight, spaced out evenly over 3-5 meals; fill half your plate with veggies; drink 3-4L of water.
Get yourself a tracker and start walking 10K steps every single day, bonus if you can walk outside.
Learn how to TRULY engage your core utilizing your diaphragm & pelvic floor so that you stop peeing your pants, feeling bloated all of the time and increase your metabolism.
Strength train 4 days per week ; Follow the SAME program for 4-8 weeks before you change it up! Each week, aim to increase your weight.
Disclaimer: You can’t do this for 2 weeks and then get frustrated that “it didn’t work.” You need to stick to it, and for much, MUCH longer than 2 weeks 🎯
This is the Thrive Method that has helped hundreds of Mamas at different stages of their postnatal journey to not only get in better shape than before babies but create a sustainable lifestyle for the rest of their life!
